This wide fit option accommodates those with a broader foot or those who favour a bit more room. Updates to this version make it a bit more adaptable than the Speedgoat 6, improving its comfort and control over rougher terrain without compromising its quick, efficient feel.

The updated super critical EVA midsole foam provides a firm yet absorbent platform that flexes with your foot to the contours of the trail, tackling rocks and roots more effectively. The rocker-shaped geometry promotes a smooth, natural and efficient stride, encouraging forward momentum, supporting a nippier cadence and facilitating a more upright posture. Maintaining a 5mm heel-to-forefoot drop, the shoe's design helps to reduce heel striking, encouraging mid-to-forefoot landing while improving efficiency and stability on uneven ground.

The upper of the shoe is made from breathable woven fabric, using recycled materials, and features a secure heel cup with softer internal padding for improved comfort from the moment you put them on. A secure fit can be personalised thanks to the lacing system with a thin, pliable tongue with zonal padding to reduce lace pressure, while an additional lace eyelet allows for a runner's loop to achieve a more locked-in heel. The outsole of the shoe features Vibram Megagrip with 5mm lugs specifically designed to provide dependable traction across mixed terrain, making the Speedgoat 7 suitable for everything from short trail runs to ultra races.
