Description

The men's Hoka Speedgoat 7 is designed for trail runners looking for a responsive shoe that can still comfortably handle long distances and technical terrain. Updates to the midsole make the Speedgoat 7 more adaptable than the previous version, improving both comfort and control over rougher trails without compromising the quick and efficient feel.

The super critical EVA foam offers a firm yet absorbent platform with flexibility to help it respond and adapt to the contours of the trail. While the flex helps to manage rocks and roots more effectively, the rocker-shaped geometry promotes forward momentum, encouraging a quicker cadence and more upright running posture. The 5mm heel-to-forefoot drop further encourages a good upright running posture with midfoot striking, helping to reduce heel striking, improving efficiency and stability on uneven ground.

The new upper is crafted from breathable, woven fabric made from recycled materials, offering a secure fit. Features include a secure heel cup with softer internal padding for improved step-in comfort, and a dual-gusseted flat, pliable tongue with zonal padding to reduce lace pressure and improve fit. An additional lace eyelet is provided to allow for a more locked-in heel to fit personal preferances.

The outsole features Vibram Megagrip with 5mm lugs to provide dependable traction across mixed terrain. Working just as well on wet as well as dry surfaces, the Speedgoat 7 is suitable for everything from long trail runs to ultra races.
