Description

The Hoka Speedgoat 7 is a responsive trail running shoe designed to handle long distances and technical terrain. Updates to the midsole on this new version 7 make it more adaptable than the previous model, improving comfort as well as control on rougher trails while maintaining its nippy, efficient feel.

The midsole is made using super critical EVA foam that delivers a firm yet absorbent platform. This platform flexes in response to the contours of the terrain, helping to handle rocks and roots more effectively. The rocker-shaped geometry enhances forward momentum, which in turn encourages a quicker cadence and promotes a more upright running posture. A 5mm heel-to-forefoot drop promotes a more natural midfoot landing, helping to reduce heel striking, improving running-form efficiency and stability on uneven ground.

Delivering improved step-in and lasting comfort, the features of the upper include: a breathable, woven textile using recycled materials, a secure heel cup with softer internal padding and a thin, pliable tongue with zonal padding to reduce lace pressure and improve the fit.

An additional lace eyelet is provided to allow for a more locked-in heel option.

The Vibram Megagrip outsole with 5mm lugs provides reliable traction across mixed terrain, in both wet and dry conditions making the Speedgoat 7 suitable for everything from long trail runs to ultra races, whatever the weather.
